Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God.
The Bible teaches that man became a sinful being after the fall of Adam in the Garden of Eden. After that point all men are born with a sinful nature. It is this sin that separates us from an eternity of living with God in heaven. Notice the verse says that all men have sinned. This means you too.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ.
God says in the Bible that because we are sinners that the payment for those sins is death. Death is an eternity separated from God in the eternal lake of fire. But God has extended a gift towards us.
Romans 5:8 But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
John 3:16 For God so love the world, that He gave His only Son, that whosever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Thank God that our sins have been paid for. God paid the price for our sins, by becoming a man, Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for our sins. Not only that, but He rose the third day showing us His victory over our sins and the price of death that we owe.
Romans 10:9 That if... "Thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." ... salvation is as simple as A, B, C
A - Admit to God that you are a sinner in need of the salvation that only He can offer
B - Believe that God sent His one and only Son to pay the price for your sins, so you may have the opportunity for eternal life in Heaven with Him
C - Confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior
If you are willing to to accept God's plan of salvation the next step is to pray to God. The following prayer is an example you may use:
Dear Lord and Heavenly Father, I come to you admitting that I am a sinner in need of your salvation. I understand that there is nothing that I can do to save myself and look to you for the solution. I thank you and believe that you sent your Son, Jesus, to pay the price for my sins. I confess Jesus as Lord of my life and as my Savior. Amen
If you have accepted Jesus as your Savior, please let me be the first to congratulate you on your decision. You should begin to get prepared for the following steps. First, you need to follow the Lord in obedience by being baptized. Contact a local pastor in your area for help with this. Secondly, you need to join a church. Look for a church that you feel will teach you how to grow in the Lord, and allow you to follow him in service with your life.
